Once upon a time I made a blog about video games. And this is what's left of it (mostly tweets).

Tilt Brush v6 is live.

Including Audio Reactive brushes.

Because we can.

I love mondays: I can often finish the NYC crossword without cheating.

Makes me wonder if Hello Games was under Sony’s instructions to never explicitly deny multiplayer—because marketing.

It’s completely irrational but I think the fact that Primal reuses Far Cry 4’s topology is discouraging me from getting into the game 😕

May god have mercy on me, the image settings on this TV were catastrophically wrong and I played all of The Witness like this.

12 August

On the other hand if I buy No Man’s Sky right now I get to play it on a 55-inch TV for my last week of flat-sitting.

Shame that Reigns is made in, I presume, Unity. Tinder’s UI is pleasant to use because the cards feel responsive, physical, natural.

Not perfect, but The Witness was so beautiful and well designed that I can’t imagine playing another puzzle game for quite a while.

Replayed Out There for a bit (I deleted it after a few minutes the first time). Funny how much it “explains” of No Man’s Sky’s game design.

Also I’m about to delete Out There after a few minutes of play, again, which confirms that I should avoid No Man’s Sky in its present state.

Just as I was beginning to appreciate the writing in Reigns, I’m now stuck running blind in a textual maze.

Stuck somehow, even though there’s only half a dozen different cards with two options each.

Deus Ex Go is out

I stopped playing Tomb Raider Go because of the spiders; this one should be safe.

I wonder how hard it would be to use machine learning instead of a hand-crafted algorithm to generate planets, animals and monuments.

(And I mean how hard would it be today, because obviously it will happen, whether in two, five, or ten years.)

Because damn that’s a lot of sharpness, detail, and texture on my MacBook Pro’s Retina screen that is unfortunately unusable for gaming.

I thought GTA Online’s rule against blowing up player vehicles couldn’t possibly survive very long, but apparently it’s still active?

Vampyr gameplay

Again with the lead voice actor being much worse than everyone else?

Hey, it’s a cow-clicker game with a plot! [twitter.com]

I deleted a Porygon that I meant to favorite so the only way I can save face is to uninstall the app.
It had two 15s and it was pretty.

I’m not very good at Battlefield 1 and I sorely miss the 55-inch TV from my flat-sitting summer.
