Finally been able to play Shelter 2 under decent conditions, and it’s so beautiful. Best escort mission ever.
Steam should not accept on its storefront any game that requires creating a separate account to play. Simple as that.
I’ve spent a few hours in Spintires struggling to rescue trucks from the mud without realizing I could simply send them back to the garage.
Spintires is what Elite: Dangerous would be if every minute of flying a ship was fun and tense rather than dreadfully boring.
I’ve written before that Battlefront should have been okay with the walker assault mode being unbalanced, but reading this article just made me realize that the game should have been completely asymmetrical.
There should be a lot more stormtroopers than rebels; they should shoot wide and respawn fast while rebels have precision weapons and longer wait times.
Keep the Luke and Vader tokens to give both sides something to strive towards, remove the other team’s scores from the leaderboard so that the imbalance doesn’t hurt anyone’s feelings, and you might have an actually interesting Star Wars experience.
But who would dare take risks with such a big (and presumably expensive) license?
There’s something addictive about recording video while I play and there’s now one more reason I kind of want a proper, powerful gaming PC.
I’ve finally gotten over my hang-up about killing stuff with a mouse pointer and gotten addicted to Diablo-likes.
I’m watching a friend play Forza 6 on Twitch and I’ve yet to find another game that sells the sensations of driving like this franchise does.
Do you need a real-life alibi for people to watch video games?
I can’t set up my Xbox One in English without lying about the country I’m in? ARE YOU. FUCKING. KIDDING ME. (Hi, @XboxSupport.)
The dozen countries allowed after you’ve chosen English are all the logical ones along with Greece and, IIRC, Slovakia.
Because why not.
The Twitch app is at the bottom of my downloads list and I can’t find a way to bump it up. There’ll be no record of my reunion with Forza.
I’d forgotten how much Forza’s cars like to understeer if you so much as look at the brakes. I still have doubts about the realism here.
Damn AI cars piling up in tight corners and generally braking too late. Imitating online players instead of trying to train them. Ugh.
I was really excited about The Division after the last two days… until I watched a stream showing how bullet-spongey it can get.
Same thing killed the Uncharted games for me — I can’t deal with bareheaded human enemies taking several headshots without a flinch.
It’s a shame because The Division’s setting and premise seemed to counter everything I disliked about Destiny.
Except… turns out, with weird alien races I don’t have an ingrained idea of how many bullets should be needed to take them down.
