Tomb Raider: Legend (PS2)

I hear the previous games were more and more awful, but I can’t tell for myself, having only played the first one (which I gave up on when I started facing aliens — it became harder, plus they creeped me out). In any case, this one is pretty well done: totally faithful to the spirit of the series (including the extreme linearity that would be all but unacceptable if the game wasn’t part of a ten-year-old franchise), pleasantly played, with superb, varied settings. Certainly not a gamer’s game, though, but that’s good for me.
